On November 27, 2019, the VIII annual International Business Forum “Moscow Business Dialogue of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization” was held in the building of the Radisson Hotel.
The forum was attended by Executive Secretary of the SCO Business Council Sergey Kanavsky, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for SCO Affairs Bakhtiyor Hakhimov, Plenipotentiary Minister of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China Li Jinyuan, Director of the SCO Joint Center for Business Cooperation Denis Tyurin, Heads of Departments of the United Business Cooperation Centers in the city of Beijing and St. Petersburg, Olim Alimov and Alexander Bjeda, as well as many others.
In his speech, Denis Kravchenko, a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, noted that: “the forum provides an excellent opportunity to develop multilateral business communications, analyze advanced strategies and practices for developing cross-border business projects, stimulate mutual interest and expand business contacts between the business community of the SCO countries ".
He also emphasized that the forum offers great opportunities for finding partners and establishing business contacts not only between entrepreneurs of the states of the “Shanghai space”, but also colleagues from other countries who are interested in economic projects in the SCO space.
During the forum, the participants discussed the national economic strategies of the SCO member countries, problems and prospects of inter-regional cooperation.
Two cooperation agreements were signed between the SCO Business Council Secretariat and the Huaming China International Investment Company, as well as between the Central Federal District Association of Interregional Social and Economic Interaction and the Huaming China International Investment Company.
The Executive Secretary of the SCO Business Council, Sergey Kanavsky, drew attention to the fact that the forum “is a free discussion club that allows exchanging views at different levels. The result is real projects, plans that are subsequently implemented. ”
“We always sign framework agreements with companies that want to be involved in the work of the Business Council.”
In addition, during the forum, within the framework of two discussion platforms, participants discussed issues of investment in innovation: the implementation of high-tech projects and the formation of multifunctional platforms for cross-border economic cooperation. A separate discussion unfolded on the problem of the development of interregional ties through the implementation of projects in the field of tourism, healthcare, sports, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
