According to Sergey Kalashnikov, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Economic Policy, over the course of 30 years, countries have created many very different norms related to migration.
"Only the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth has issued more than a dozen regulatory documents. New documents are emerging all the time," he said.
The objective of the code will be the regulation of labor migration flows within the CIS. Painstaking work on it has been going on for 3 years. In the document, national laws should be harmoniously combined without contradicting each other.
