"I think that we have been moving in the right direction all this time. Despite the existing issues, we need to strengthen our Eurasian Economic Union. Now we have a task to ensure that our internal issues, the relations between our countries, have their development in the future. The main role in this work is assigned to the governments: the solution of economic problems, the settlement of issues of interaction between states, "the Kazakh president said at a meeting with the heads of government of the EAEU countries who came to Astana to participate in the meeting of the government council of the organization.

Prime Ministers of Kazakhstan - Bakhytzhan Sagintayev, Armenia - Karen Karapetyan, Belarus - Andrei Kobyakov, Kirghizia - Sooronbai Jeenbekov, Russian Federation - Dmitry Medvedev, chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Tigran Sargsyan attended the meeting with the head of Kazakhstan.

The head of state greeted the members of the Eurasian intergovernmental council in the capital of Kazakhstan, noting that the time of the meeting had successfully coincided with the work of the International Exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana.

"The heads of government have a good opportunity to visit their national pavilions, as well as exhibition expositions of Kazakhstan and other countries," he said.

The President stressed that the Eurasian Economic Union has been working for the third year already, and "this time is conditioned not by a simple situation, both in the world and in national economies of the EEA member countries." At the same time, Nazarbayev called the main factor of the organization's work "the creation of a common market, a single economic structure".
