Summit in Iran« Back
Russian President Vladimir Putin, together with the Turkish and Iranian presidents Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Hassan Rouhani began work in the framework of the summit on Syria.
In the foyer of the international congress center in Tehran, Rouhani, as host of the meeting, welcomed his guests. It is noted that after the traditional handshake the leaders took part in the photographing ceremony and went to a specially prepared room for a conversation.
In addition, the leaders of Iran, Turkey and Russia will hold personal meetings. Before the summits, the Russian president had already met with the Turkish leader. The Russian side was attended by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
Earlier, bilateral talks were held between the Turkish president and Iranian leader Hasan Rouhani.
Particular attention will be paid to the situation in the Syrian province of Idlib, the last region that remains under the control of the militants. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, a new provocation with chemical weapons could be committed in Idlib.
Recall that the situation in Syria around Idlib continues to remain explosive. The "standing on the Ugra" continues: the American fleet and aviation with cruise missiles and, in contrast to them, the shock grouping of ships of the Russian Navy. At any time, the Americans, together with their allies, can strike at Syrian targets. However, for this they need a provocation in Idlib - "the use of chemical weapons by Asad troops".
In the meantime, Russian ASF is bombing militant objects in the rebel province. The Russian Defense Ministry posted video footage of air strikes that inflicted air and space forces on the positions of the rebels of the terrorist organization Jebhat an Nusra (banned in Russia).
According to Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov, on September 4, planes that are based at the Russian airbase Khmeimim, attacked the terrorist stores with precision ammunition. The aircraft worked on the identified areas of launching the drone drones, which were used to carry out terrorist attacks on Khmeimim and settlements located in the provinces of Aleppo and Hama.
According to Konashenkov, two Su-34 multifunctional fighter-bombers destroyed a shop where terrorists assembled impact drone, as well as an explosive warehouse, which was put into explosives for drones. The Su-35S multipurpose fighter destroyed a warehouse with portable antiaircraft-missile complexes of militants with high-precision ammunition.
