SCO delegation takes part in the international forum in Kyrgyzstan« Back
The Multilateral North and Central Asia Forum on Sustainable Development Goals, organized by the UNECE regional office of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), were held on August 20-22.
The video message from the UN Under-Secretary-General - Executive Secretary of ESCAP Armida Salsia Alishahbana described three important areas for accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals.
The SCO delegation was represented at the forum by the SCO Deputy Secretary General V. Potapenko and referent M. Tuaev.
In his speech on behalf of the SCO Secretary General Vladimir Norov, the relevance and timeliness of the event, representing a reliable multilateral mechanism that forms its activities on the principles of equality and consideration of interests, respect and mutually beneficial cooperation, strengthening the traditions of good neighborliness and partnership, was pointed out.
The forum was attended by 80 representatives of nine countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, as well as the EEC, EAEU and UN special agencies.
