Academy of Sciences of Russia and Mongolia signed an agreement on scientific cooperation« Back
One of the practical results of the International Forum “On the second track. The role of civil society and public diplomacy in the further development and expansion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization” was the signing of the Agreement on scientific cooperation between the Institute of the Far East of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of International Relations of the Academy of Sciences of Mongolia.
Two leading research centers of Russia and Mongolia signed a framework agreement to promote mutual understanding and friendly exchanges between the peoples on the basis of mutual benefit, equal to the interest and respect for each other’s laws. The subject of cooperation is fundamental and applied research of actual problems of the history of relations between our countries. The parties also agreed to set up working groups that will review programs and collaborative projects, prepare and submit proposals in order to implement them. The agreement assumes publication of joint scientific publications, organization of conferences, seminars and round tables aimed at the development and strengthening of Mongolian studies in Russia and Russian studies in Mongolia.
